Lowland Way is a very nice street, full of very nice people. They pride themselves on their friendships and community spirit. All that changes when Darren and Jodie move into the street. How will the nice residents respond to neighbours who show no respect for others?

This book presents a scenario that is every householder’s worst nightmare. As the story unfolds, we witness their various attempts to deal with a new and unwelcome situation. Friendships and relationships become strained as the residents own thin veneer of respectability begins to crack.

The main characters are nicely nuanced, each with their own motivations and hang ups. Even Darren and Jodie, the quintessential villains, have depth.

A thoroughly enjoyable read with some twisty plot lines that keep you guessing. 4 stars.
